Yaoheba Hydropower Station is located on Nanya River in Shimian County, Sichuan Province. The gate dam is located at the entrance of the narrow valley at the root of Yuandi, Liziping Township, Shimian County. The distance between the plant and dam is about 10km, and the gate dam is 33km from Shimian County. The control drainage area above the dam site is 745 square kilometers, the normal water level of the reservoir is 1678.00m, and the total storage capacity is 1623000 cubic meters, which is a daily regulating reservoir. The task of the project construction is to generate electricity, with a total installed capacity of 132mw and an average annual generating capacity of 691 million kwh.

     The pivotal project includes barrage, diversion tunnel, ground power house and switch station. The barrage is a concrete gate dam with a maximum dam height of 35.50m and a dam crest length of 181.5m; the length of the headrace tunnel is about 11000m and the tunnel Jing is 5m; the size of the ground powerhouse is 80 × 24 × 60m and the installed capacity is 3 × 44mw; and a ground switch station.
